Mission & Vision
OUR MISSION
The Interdisciplinary Institute for Science believes scientists are important agents of progressive social change. It is our mission to combine theoretical work in and on the sciences, with action-oriented projects that work with communities on environmental issues, undertake original scientific research, and foster new forms of science literacy.
OUR VISION
We envision a knowledge system that is compassionate, creative and based on the best moral intentions of the people who work in knowledge fields. This requires support and development of the passions, values and interests of everyone who works in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Mathematics and Medicine.
“When we change the narrative about what we are doing, then we can do something different.“
